# Date time
Collect a date, a time, or both, and control exactly which ones a visitor can choose.
The **Date & Time** field lets customers select a date, a time, or both. Use it for appointment requests, delivery dates, event registrations, and more.

## 🔧 How to Set It
1. In form editor, click **Add element**
2. Select **Date time** element
3. The field will appear in your form with a calendar picker
4. Configure field detail like label, placeholder,...
5. Click **Save**

## ⚙️ Settings
Only the settings specific to this field are covered below. **Label**, **Placeholder**, **Description**, **Required**, and other shared settings work the same across fields.
### 🕒 Date & Time Format
Choose what customers can select:
* **Date & Time:** Select both a date and a time, for appointments.
* **Date only:** Select a date, for delivery scheduling.
* **Time only:** Select a time, for preferred contact times.
You can also customize how the date and time appear.
* **Date format:** For example, `Y-m-d` displays as `2026-10-13`, while `d/m/Y` displays as `13/10/2026`.
* **Time format:** Choose 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour format.
### 📆 Default Date & Date Range
* **Default date:** Preselect a date when the form loads.
* **Start date:** Set the earliest selectable date.
* **End date:** Set the latest selectable date.
**Example:** For delivery scheduling, set the Start date to today and the End date to 30 days from today. Customers can choose a delivery date within that period.
### 🚦 Limit Date Picker
Use this setting to control exactly which dates customers can select.
**Limit date type:**
* **Enabling dates:** Allow only the dates you specify.
* **Disabling dates:** Block the dates you specify.
Depending on your configuration, you can limit dates by:
* **Specific dates:** Allow or block selected dates.
* **Range dates:** Define a date range.
* **Days of week:** Allow or block particular weekdays.
**Example:** A store accepts weekend pickup only. Configure the date picker to allow Saturday and Sunday, so customers cannot select other weekdays.
### 🗓️ Only Show Month
Enable **Only show month** when customers need to choose a month instead of a specific day.
**Example:** Use it to collect a subscription start month or credit card expiry month.
## 🔄 How It Works
The **Date & Time** field displays a calendar (and optional time picker) so users can easily choose when something should happen.
You can control:
* Whether users select **date only**, **time only**, or **date & time**
* Which dates are allowed
* The format of the date and time
* Default and limited date ranges
