# Signature
The **Signature** field lets customers draw their signature using a mouse, touchscreen, or fingertip. Use it for wholesale agreements, waivers, or delivery authorization forms.
## ๐ง How to Set It
In the form editor, click **Add element** > pick **Signature**.
The field is added and its settings open on the left.

### โ๏ธ Field Settings
Only the settings specific to this field are covered below. **Label**, **Description**, **Required**, **Hide label**, **Column width**, and other shared settings work the same across fields.
### ๐งน Clear
Customize the text displayed on the button customers use to erase their signature and sign again.
**Example:** Change `Clear` to `Clear signature` to make the button's purpose clearer.
## ๐ How It Works
1. Customers draw their signature in the signature box using a mouse or fingertip.
2. They can click **Clear** to erase the signature and sign again.
3. After submitting the form, the signature is saved as an image.
#### ๐ฉ Where the Signature Appears
The submitted signature image appears in:
* **Submission details:** Open the submission in the app to view the signature.
* **Email notifications:** View the signature image in the submission notification.
